Welcome to the NU Virtual Open House Day 2021
On September 26, 2021, Nazarbayev University will hold its second virtual Open House Day for prospective students and their parents. The event will consist of two online components: open.nu.edu.kz and Zoom platforms. The organizers have prepared an exciting program. The sessions will focus on the admissions process and scholarship opportunities, as well as health insurance and student housing. Participants in the event will be offered detailed information on pre-university training, master’s, doctorate, and bachelor’s programs. This will be especially useful for those who are still unsure about a future specialization. The event will also provide an opportunity to ask any questions about NU academic programs, as well as about student life, future employment during a special panel session.
Leilya Negimova, Senior Manager at the Office of Enrollment management, believes that the virtual format has many advantages.
“First of all, it is a unique opportunity to learn about NU from anywhere in the world. The video materials, which, by the way, will be available on the platform throughout the year, include not only information on admissions and academic programs, but also practical advice on how to submit a strong application, as well as tips on how to successfully pass English language proficiency tests such as IELTS”, — stressed Leilya Negimova.
The virtual format offers many advantages indeed. Traditionally, the Open House format required the physical presence of the participants, and if for some reason you were not able to visit the capital, then it was not possible to get exclusive information about NU academic programs, as well as about student life from NU students and alumni themselves.
It should be noted that last year’s Virtual Open House Day attracted a significant number of visitors: the sessions offered by teachers, employees, students, and alumni were attended by approximately 4,000 guests, with nearly 1,500 participants present at the interactive sessions.
“As a result of last year’s event, we received a lot of positive feedback. The virtual format unambiguously appeals to both potential students and their parents,” — said Leilya Negimova.
