SEDS Class of 2020 Graduation Ceremony!

On June 14, 2020, for the first time in the 10-year history of our university, the graduation ceremony was held in digital format due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Graduates had the opportunity to share this exciting event with family and friends watching the award ceremony online.

Nursultan Nazarbayev, the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, congratulated the graduates, pointing the high level of education at the University: in a short time, becoming the leader of higher education in Kazakhstan, Nazarbayev University proved that high-quality education available in Kazakhstan. Over the years, nearly 5 thousand students have become university graduates. All of them have proved themselves to be highly qualified specialists. This year alone, over a thousand students were awarded academic degrees.”

President of Nazarbayev University of Shigeo Katsu also congratulated graduates with receiving diplomas and expressed his hope that, despite global challenges, graduates will apply their knowledge and skills to create jobs, develop new theories and inventions, and design modern infrastructure for the benefit of society.

Graduates, having received their first achievements in adulthood, are ready to begin a new chapter, despite the temporary difficulties that the whole world has faced.
