A new social club called, “NU women in engineering” kicked off its first meeting on January 30 at Nazarbayev University. The club is dedicated to popularize the women role in engineering particularly in Kazakhstan and around the world.

“Mostly, women are often under-represented in the field of engineering due to the stereotypical perception “engineering is dominated by men’’. However, throughout the history of humankind and currently, women’s contribution to the field of engineering is significant. Today, most of the global organizations that operating in the field of engineering are eager to hire females because of their specific skills that modern engineering needs” – Madina Mulukova, the president of the club.
