Globalization and Engineering in the Master of Engineering Management Program.
Penn State and Nazarbayev University run this course jointly, with the School of Engineering MEM and Penn State students sharing lectures, material and projects in a true “globalized” experiment.
Dr. Mariza Tsakalerou (NU School of engineering) and Dr. Dena Lang, the Director of Graduate Studies in Engineering Leadership & Innovation Management at Penn State work together in this joint venture to co-offer the course online in this globalized and novel experiment where students from an American and a Central Asian university will interact and collaborate online and work in virtual project teams. Upon successful completion of the course, the NU students receive certificates countersigned from Penn State and NU with the joint Penn State – NU logos.
This is a tangible result of our internationalization initiative and we are working in many more!
